Kansas lawmakers agreed to balance the budget by raising
sales taxes, but that means some struggling families will have to pinch pennies
even more.
Last week, Kansas lawmakers agreed to raise next month's
sales tax from 6.15 percent to 6.5 percent.
Low-income residents will especially feel the hike when
paying their grocery store bill.
My heart goes out to people who live in these red-state hellholes.
